Salem's Story

I only had Salem for only four years. He was a great cat. I got him as a stray. Found in a back alley wanting to give love to someone who would give him a home. He blessed me in so many ways. If I was sad he knew it and quickly cheered me up. He was so funny. He would fetch his rats and get so mad at me if I sat in his chair. Salem began to not eat. As 3 or 4 days went by I began to worry so I took him to the vet. They said that he had an infection but his cells were abnormal. Their was a slim chance he could have cancer. The vet gave him an antibiotic and told me to bring him back in four days. I took him back on a Friday. He was better and eating a little bit. I was so happy the Dr. said he was doing better and that she thought it was only infection and to bring him back after he finished the antibiotic. That was Friday morning. Saturday night at 2:00 am I was at a emergency vets office putting my cat down because he had a stage of lymphoma. I have never had to make such a hard decision in all my life. With-in one week I found out my cat had cancer and had to put him down. I pray that no one else has to go through this. I pray That some way some how a cure will be found. I love you Salem!!!! Rest In Peace!!!
