Pumpkin aka "Boo-bear"'s Story

Oh, Pumpkin boo-bear - what a character he was: bringing so much joy, laughter, and a wee bit of exasperation into our lives. We found Boo-boo as a stray at an apartment complex where he was ardently courting a fluffy tortie named "Princess." He was emaciated, covered in motor oil, and badly wounded from a run-in with lord knows what, but, still, so beautiful and loving and playful. We brought him into our home with two other cats and two dogs and he immediately allied himself with the DOGS, spatting with the cats on a regular basis - guess he was species-confused. After about two months, Pumpkin morphed into a healthy, happy, and well-fed "Plump-kin" cat-dog and was with us for about four years until we discovered several lymphosarcomas on his skin at the beginning of the year - the cancer spread with devastating quickness... We put Pumpkin to sleep at the beginning of this month and his loss is still so hard to bear... but his memory, his light, makes the weight of sadness easier to carry.
