| Parker's Story |
| |
Parker Marker came into my life just 6 months after my cocker spaniel died from an enlarged heart, I was 14 years old. We just moved into our new house and a friend of the family couldn't handle the rambunctious beagle and asked if we would take him. He helped me heal a wound and find love in life again and needless to say with that much energy got me back into shape. He is truly my best friend and the best thing that ever happened to our family. He loves life, his backyard and most of all food.
Today, Parker was diagnosed with lymphoma. I have spent the last week searching the internet for holistic therapies and herbs to help ease his pain. In the 7 years he's been with me I never thought that he would ever have cancer. I was never aware that cancer in dogs could really happen. I can't imagine what my life will be like without my Parker Marker.
I hope that cancer awareness in dogs spreads and that people can have access to information. My focus now is to keep him as happy and as comfortable as I possibly can and hope that he knows I'm doing everything in my power to help him. |
